What is Blur Festival?

Blur Festival is an event made for photographers of every level, from smartphones to the latest digital cameras. The event is broken into small intimate sessions that brings together some of the biggest names in the business in a fully interactive environment, full of creative inspiration and hands-on experiences.

Beginners, aspiring photographers, students and professionals will be treated to a visual spectacular featuring fashion, food, extreme sport and so much more.

When and Where?

The first Blur photography festival will be held at Brisbane Showgrounds, 2-5 February 2018. This is only the beginning for Blur, with festivals planned in Tokyo, Melbourne and Hong Kong in the near future.

What does my ticket include?

Each two-day ticket includes five lectures, four workshops and three Guru guided shooting booths plus unlimited access to non-guided booths. Suitable for beginners, enthusiasts, professionals, hybrid shooters (video and stills) small business owners, students and professionals.

One Day Video tickets include a full day of lectures and workshops and unlimited shooting at the event.

Tickets can be purchased separately for our Friday and Saturday night Fashion events, as well as the Masterclasses day on Monday 5th of February.

Will I be on camera if I attend?

Blur Festival is an event made for photographers, by photographers so there is a high chance you will be captured in photos and video at the event. The terms of entry are that you consent to being photographed, feel free to read the terms and conditions here.

Is there somewhere I can store my belongings?

Yes, there are lockers available for you to use.

Please note these will be available on a first come first served basis and there is a nominal charge to use the lockers.

Is there wheelchair access?

The Brisbane Showgrounds is designed to provide exceptional services and facilities to all visitors. The venue is wheelchair accessible on both levels. Wheelchairs are also available from the Customer Relations team. Individual accessibility restrooms are located on both the upper and lower levels of the venue and there is one ambulant toilet within each bathroom location.
